Job Overview

This role entails overseeing the operational and supervisory aspects of the Financial Accounting JV Unit. The primary objective is to ensure all general accounting transactions comply with established policies and procedures.

The unit head will be responsible for supervising and directing the subledgers handled by their team within the Oracle ERP System, encompassing Fixed Asset, Accounts Receivables, and Project Financial Management. It is crucial to maintain record integrity and ensure internal controls operate effectively.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver timely and accurate reports on a monthly, quarterly, and year-end basis.
  • Develop an understanding of relevant policies, legislation, accounting standards, regulations, and tax principles through reviewing officers' work and performing daily processes and period-end close duties.
  • Comply with internal and external reporting requirements for internal auditors, tax authorities, risk management, and other stakeholders.
  • Review reconciliations of general ledgers and reporting systems against transaction subledgers, resolving operational and accounting discrepancies.
  • Monitor and review the unit's Key Result Areas (KRAs).
  • Set clear objectives and goals for the team, contributing to team members' professional growth and development.
  • Periodically review access rights and authority limits for Oracle and FBEQ systems through the security matrix to prevent unauthorized access.
