Finance Director Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Director to lead our financial strategy and operations.

  • Lead the strategic and managerial oversight of the finance department.
  • Supervise and validate monthly management reports.
  • Deliver high-level financial analyses, forecasts, and cash flow management.
  • Present financial insights and trends clearly and concisely to top management.
  • Establish department SOPs, internal calendars, KPIs, and quality control checklists.
  • Supervise the finance manager in her execution of accounting, payroll, tax, and compliance operations.
  • Lead weekly finance team check-ins and quarterly performance reviews.
  • Mentor and support the finance manager in team leadership, delegation, and communication.
  • Provide direct supervision of newly hired bookkeepers and accounting assistants.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Supervision:

  • Lead the finance department with strong leadership qualities and business acumen.
  • Supervise and motivate finance team members to achieve goals and objectives.

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Deliver high-level financial analyses, forecasts, and cash flow management.
  • Present financial insights and trends clearly and concisely to top management.

Department Operations:

  • Establish department SOPs, internal calendars, KPIs, and quality control checklists.
  • Supervise the finance manager in her execution of accounting, payroll, tax, and compliance operations.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Communicate effectively with top management and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with team members and other departments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in small, fast-paced environments.
  • Experience with QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) – highly preferred.
  • Background in luxury sectors, such as high-end hotels, wellness and spa services, or premium food and beverage establishments.
