Financial Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to manage the financial operations of our organization.

About the Role

This role involves supporting the Chairman's private interests and investments while working closely with the Accounting Manager based in Johor Bahru.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to ensuring accurate financial operations, compliance, and reporting across a diverse investment portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of investment portfolios and oversee all related accounting entries.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the organization and related entities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate consolidation of accounts, including investment vehicles, trusts, and holding companies.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
  • Process and monitor payments, receipts, and intercompany transactions.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and investment accounts.
  • Liaise with Fund Managers, Bankers, and System Administrators to resolve discrepancies.
Investment & Asset Administration:
  • Track and record investment activities, including equities, real estate, private equity, and alternative assets.
  • Maintain accurate records of asset valuations, income, and distributions.
  • Assist with due diligence and documentation for new investments.
Process Improvement & Controls:
  • Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Support the development and maintenance of internal controls and accounting policies.
What You Bring:
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a family office, private wealth, or investment environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office Suite.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Good spoken and written English and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and as part of a small team.
