Financial Analyst Job Description

The role of a Financial Analyst involves providing financial insights and support to product teams, enabling informed strategic decision-making.

  • Support the Senior Finance Business Partner in delivering financial planning, analysis, and reporting for Product Marketing and Product Development teams.

The responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver actionable insights through analysis of key business drivers, variances, and trends.
  • Assist in developing comprehensive business cases for new product initiatives in collaboration with Product Managers.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting cycles for product-related functions.
  • Compile and assess monthly financial commentary for accuracy and clarity.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analyses to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Manage and improve financial models and reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with Financial Control and Business Support teams to enhance reporting accuracy, streamline processes, and strengthen controls.
Requirements:

To be successful, candidates should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret large data sets.
  • Drive, detail-orientation, and capability to produce accurate work under pressure.
  • A willingness to pursue professional qualifications such as CIMA or ACCA.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • A collaborative mindset with professionalism and a continuous improvement attitude, ideally with FP&A experience.
