Technical Support Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Support Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tier 2 technical support to customers worldwide, ensuring smooth operations and timely resolution of both critical and low-priority requests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to escalated technical issues from tier 1 support.
  • Assist with critical incidents escalated from the incident management team.
  • Help customers with configuration issues and questions.
  • Maintain monitoring and alerting to prevent disruptions.
  • Collaborate with other support teams and developers to resolve complex challenges.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Experience working in production/application support is also essential.

  • Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Familiarity with querying languages like SQL, JQL, and LookML.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Able to read error messages and stack traces.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based services such as AWS.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, including proficiency in German and English. The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional customer service is also essential.

  • Familiarity with Zendesk, Confluence, and Slack.
