Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced accounting professional to join our team as an Intermediate Accountant. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level financial services to clients, including preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and business activity statements.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting or a similar relevant qualification, as well as 2+ years' experience in a similar role. You will also have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and the ability to quickly adapt to new software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and business activity statements for sole traders, partnerships, trusts, and companies based on source data provided by the client.
  • Use client accounting programs to extract reports and data, provide training to clients in the use of these programs, and assist with their queries.
  • Remain current with tax law changes and interpret and understand tax law to explain the implications to clients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting or a similar relevant qualification.
  • 2+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
