Key responsibilities include:

Strategic Direction & Insight Integration

  • Develop customer marketing strategies aligned with brand and commercial goals.
  • Leverage shopper, customer, and channel insights to inform trade marketing and innovation plans.
  • Participate in the new product development process—shaping concepts, pricing, channel fit, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Create 360° activation plans for new product launches; monitor performance for optimization.
  • Oversee national promotional campaigns, in-store merchandising, and visibility initiatives.
  • Customize strategies for different trade channels.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and mentor the Customer Marketing team, driving high performance, capability building, and succession planning.
  • Establish clear key performance indicators and manage ongoing performance and development.

Cross-Functional & External Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain) to ensure commercial readiness.
  • Manage external agency partnerships to drive effective execution.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Economics, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in customer/trade marketing, commercial marketing, or innovation within the FMCG or retail sector
  • Proven track record in leading end-to-end strategy and execution across categories and trade channels
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical mindset, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated leadership in team development and stakeholder management
  • Proficiency in CRM, analytics platforms, data tools, and presentation software

Job Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in both General Trade and Modern Trade environments
  • Involvement in innovation pipeline development and successful product launches
  • In-depth understanding of consumer behavior, merchandising, and retail dynamics
  • Experience managing agencies, vendors, and third-party execution partners
