Job Overview

The role of Commercial Credit Analyst is a vital part of our organization, responsible for analyzing the creditworthiness of borrowers and their associated assets. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication abilities to convey complex findings to stakeholders.

This position requires thorough assessments of financial statements, cash flow projections, credit reports, and other relevant documents. The successful candidate will be able to evaluate financial stability, repayment capacity, and the quality and value of underlying collateral.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze financial statements, cash flow projections, credit reports, and other relevant documents.
  • Evaluate financial stability, repayment capacity, and the quality and value of underlying collateral.
  • Assess risk associated with loan applications and recommend mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with loan officers and underwriters to structure loan terms and conditions that align with borrower needs while managing credit risk effectively.
  • Ensure all lending decisions and documentation comply with federal, state, and local regulations governing residential and commercial real estate lending.
  • Communicate credit decisions, loan terms, and conditions to borrowers and other stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in credit analysis or a similar role within the mortgage or finance industry.
  • Skills:
  • Proficient in using financial analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of commercial loans.
  • Knowledgeable in using lenders' servicing calculators to assess clients' borrowing capacities and ensure loan submissions meet required policies and compliance requirements.
