Lead Financial Data Analyst

What is the job?

The Lead Financial Data Analyst owns and oversees data, processes, and controls that ensure accurate bonus and commission programs. This role supports monthly and quarterly commissions and bonus calculations for all business segments. The analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate and timely compensation reporting.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepares and maintains quarterly compensation workbook independently.
  2. Oversees company-wide compensation process, driving continuous improvements.
  3. Submits monthly incentives and bonus calculation files, reviewing relevant data.
  4. Maintains sensitive information securely.
  5. Addresses complex commission and bonus inquiries promptly.
  6. Maintains sales compensation documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeline adherence.
  7. Collaborates with revenue operations on systems improvements.
  8. Documents and maintains processes for monthly, quarterly, and annual commission accounting tasks and audits.
  9. Designs and develops complex queries, reports, and analyses.
  10. Provides regular reporting, analysis, and key projects for stakeholders.
  11. Partners with Finance teams on accruals, reporting, and operating cadence.
  12. Calculates and maintains performance dashboards.
  13. Acts as subject matter expert on sales compensation, providing expertise and strategic guidance.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in creating complex spreadsheets, formulas, pivot tables, and data visualizations in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail, staying organized while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Confident communication skills with senior leaders and C-Suite executives.
  • Clear and coherent written and verbal communication skills, collaborating across different teams and departments.

Screening Criteria


• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, engineering, mathematics, economics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent work experience.


• Minimum of four years of experience in Sales Compensation, FP&A, or a finance-related role.


• Stable employment history required.
