Accounts Payable Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a meticulous and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to oversee invoice processing and payment, manage vendor relationships, and maintain an up-to-date vendor database.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Invoice Processing: Reviewing, verifying, and processing invoices for payment with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Vendor Management: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, resolving payment discrepancies, and addressing vendor inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Expense Reconciliation: Ensuring the reconciliation of invoices with purchase orders and receipts is accurate and complete.
  • Payment Processing: Initiating and coordinating payments to vendors through various methods, including checks, electronic transfers, and ACH payments.
  • Financial Reporting: Preparing comprehensive reports on accounts payable activities, including outstanding balances, cash flow projections, and aging reports.
  • Expense Tracking: Monitoring and controlling company expenses by evaluating payment terms and negotiating discounts with vendors.
  • Problem Resolution: Identifying and resolving issues related to accounts payable, such as disputes, late payments, or missing documentation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable and/or General Accounting, or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and English communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, databases, and accounting software.
  • Industry-specific software knowledge: Excel, pivot tables, advanced formulas, and proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks, SAP, etc.
  • In-depth understanding of accounts payable principles, standards, and reconciliation.
  • High accuracy in financial records and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
