
Disaster Response Customer Service Specialist

MCI, a leading provider of business process outsourcing services, is seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to work as disaster relief call center representatives. This temporary, remote position will be contingent on hurricane disaster relief needs.
Candidates accepted for this role will be contacted via email and text message on an as-needed basis. The working hours are from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM ET, with shifts from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM and 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

About the PositionWe are looking for exceptional customer service professionals who can provide solutions to customers' simple requests using the latest techniques and account management systems. As a disaster relief call center representative, you will play a vital role in improving the customer experience during a difficult time.

- Escalate customer dissatisfaction to proper channels
To succeed in this role, candidates must possess excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills. They should also be able to type swiftly and accurately (20+ words per minute) and have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook). Additionally, they must be highly reliable, with the ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems
- Ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow up on customer issues
- Aptitude for conflict resolution, problem solving, and negotiation
- Customer service oriented (empathetic, responsive, patient, and conscientious)
- Ability to multi-task, stay focused, and self-manage
- Strong team orientation and customer focus
