High-Performance Linux System Specialist

Our organization requires a seasoned Linux professional to spearhead the management of our cloud hosting infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in optimizing, securing, and maintaining high-performance servers, as well as ensuring seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Incident Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for complex technical issues, applying diagnostic skills to resolve critical system failures and network outages.
- Server Administration: Oversee the configuration and maintenance of Linux-based environments (CentOS, Ubuntu, RHEL), fine-tuning web servers (Apache, Nginx, LiteSpeed) and databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Automation & DevOps: Develop automation scripts (Bash, Python, Perl) for server provisioning and configuration management, leveraging tools like Ansible or Terraform.
- Cloud & Virtualization: Deploy and manage containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes), supporting cloud-based hosting solutions (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
- Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, including firewall rules, SELinux/AppArmor, IDS/IPS; conduct vulnerability assessments and patch management to secure customer environments.
- Monitoring & Incident Response: Set up monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, Nagios; participate in 24/7 on-call rotations for urgent system issues.
- 11+ years of hands-on Linux system administration experience in a web hosting or cloud environment.
- 7+ years of experience in a Senior position or Level 3 Engineer role.
- MUST be a Libvirt expert with a minimum of 7+ yrs of experience.
- Expert knowledge of web hosting technologies (cPanel, Plesk, WHM, LAMP/LEMP stacks).
- Strong scripting ability in Perl, Bash, and Python.
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Networking expertise – understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Firewalls, Load Balancing.
- Familiarity with RAID, SAN, NAS, and distributed storage systems.
- Experience working in a 24/7 production environment with on-call duties.
- Ability to build and configure servers from the ground up.
- Certifications such as RHCE, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or Kubernetes (CKA) are a plus.
