Embedded Linux Engineer

This role is crucial for expanding our presence in mission-critical industries like Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, and Telco, as well as Consumer Electronics.

We utilize the server edition of Ubuntu extensively in connected devices and industrial PCs. Our Ubuntu Core edition represents cutting-edge security and resilience for high-end appliances and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with customers during presales to gather requirements and explain our technology
  • Develop solutions to be proposed to prospective clients
  • Participate in the delivery of select projects related to Embedded Linux
  • Present market requirements to key stakeholders and contribute to the development or refinement of generic solutions to unlock market potential
  • Act as a customer advocate and trusted advisor
Necessary Skills and Qualifications:
  • Fluent Mandarin speaker willing to travel to China regularly
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Extensive experience with Linux – Debian or Ubuntu preferred
  • Distribution/Packaging expertise (deb, rpm, ...)
  • Solid embedded Linux expertise (Yocto, Buildroot...)
  • Proficiency in at least one of Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Result-driven, ability to multi-task
  • A personal drive to meet commitments; humble learner and quick study
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time for customer meetings, company events, and conferences
