We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in a remote work environment.

Job Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing and reviewing vendor invoices for accuracy and appropriate approvals. This includes ensuring timely payment of invoices and resolving any discrepancies. The specialist will also reconcile accounts payable transactions, maintain accurate financial records, and assist in month-end closing and financial reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and review vendor invoices for accuracy and appropriate approvals

  • Assist in month-end closing and financial reporting processes
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders to address inquiries and issues
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of accounts payable systems and processes
  • Perform data entry and maintain organized filing systems
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as required
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounts payable processes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role is also required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) are essential.
