Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior General Ledger Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, internal financial controls, and technical expertise in SAP S4 HANA.

About the Role

The Senior General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for managing and performing general ledger activities, including Fixed Assets, Intangibles, Leases, Intercompany Transactions, Transfer Pricing, Prepaids, GRIR, Stock Rotation, Accruals, and Tax-related entries. They will also lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and perform general ledger activities, including fixed assets, intangibles, leases, intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, prepaids, GRIR, stock rotation, accruals, and tax-related entries.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and conduct variance analysis.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with IFRS and company policies.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and support audit requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with AP, AR, Payroll, FP&A, and other teams to ensure data integrity.
  • Support process improvements, system upgrades, policy development, and mentor junior staff.
Requirements
  • CPA certification is required.
  • Proficiency in SAP S4 HANA is a must.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS or GAAP, accounting principles, and internal financial controls.
  • Skilled in using Concur, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and banking platforms such as JPMorgan Access.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and clear communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
