Financial Data Expert

The Senior Staff Accountant plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data essential to supporting business operations and strategic growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP principles
  • Maintaining general ledger entries, adjusting entries, and accruals
  • Ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes
  • Performing detailed account reconciliations for Balance Sheet accounts
  • Tracking project/job costs and ensuring costs are recorded to appropriate jobs or cost codes
  • Assisting in reviewing and processing vendor invoices, inquiries, and statements of account
  • Maintaining and reviewing monthly management credit card reports and employee reimbursements
  • Analyzing financial performance, variances, and trends to support decision making
  • Utilizing ERP/Accounting software for transaction processing, reporting, and analysis
  • Identifying opportunities for process automation or improvement in accounting workflows
  • Maintaining compliance with internal controls and company accounting policies
  • Supporting external review and audit requests, including documentation and schedules
  • Ensuring regulatory filings and tax reporting are supported with accurate data and on time
  • Partnering with other departments to ensure accurate accounting and data sharing

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, Certified Public Accountant certification, 2–5 years progressive accounting experience, and experience in inventory and manufacturing. Additionally, proficiency with Microsoft Excel, experience with ERP systems and reporting tools, and strong organization, oral and written communication skills are required.
