Financial Reporting Specialist Opportunity

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional with a passion for financial reporting? Do you have experience working in the non-profit sector, managing close processes and audits?

This remote, part-time position offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team as a Financial Reporting Specialist.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify and record accounting information by reviewing, consolidating, and entering transactions.
  • Compile and analyze account data to prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries.
  • Maintain the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing trial balances, and reconciling entries.
  • Summarize financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other relevant reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize process efficiency.
  • Ensure deadlines and controls are met in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Manage deliverables to external auditors for annual audits and quarterly reviews.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, plus seven years of experience.
  • Extensive experience in US non-profit accounting, including reporting and compliance.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
  • Strong MS Excel skills and experience developing financial reports and metrics.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing environments.
  • Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
