Senior Accounting Professional Wanted

We are seeking an accomplished and experienced Senior Accountant to fill a critical role within our finance department. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for providing expert financial guidance and support to ensure seamless business operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Taking ownership of internal and external reporting requirements, including monthly management reports, statutory reports, and vendor-facing financial summaries is crucial.
  • Achieving accurate and timely preparation and submission of AU and UK tax obligations, such as BAS, IAS PAYG, Corporation Tax, and VAT, is vital.
  • Liaising with external stakeholders, like vendors, auditors, and tax authorities, to meet compliance and reporting deadlines is essential.
  • Fostering continuous improvement in reporting processes and templates, ensuring clarity, consistency, and accuracy is important.
  • Collaborating with the finance team for month-end and year-end close processes is necessary.
  • Preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals requires high attention to detail.
  • Assisting in the design, development, and automation of financial models and dashboards can drive efficiency.
  • Staying abreast of taxation changes, statutory requirements, and accounting standards in AU and the UK is necessary.
  • Contributing to internal audits, compliance checks, and control reviews is important.
  • Providing ad hoc financial analysis and insights to support strategic business decisions is valuable.

Requirements:

  • A graduate degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting and tax compliance, particularly in AU and UK contexts, is necessary.
  • Hands-on experience using Xero and MS Excel is required.
  • A strong working knowledge of Google Sheets and SQL for data extraction and analysis is beneficial.
  • Prior experience in an Australian or UK-based company is highly preferred.
