Accounting Professional Wanted

We are seeking a skilled accounting professional to join our team as a bookkeeper-accountant level. This role requires maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information for a business. This position demands a deeper understanding of accounting principles than a standard bookkeeper, including handling more complex financial tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable. Manage bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports. Assist in creating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Tax Preparation and Compliance: Assist in tax return preparation by organizing financial data and preparing documentation for external accountants. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws, filing necessary forms.
  • Accounts Management: Oversee accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely billing and collections. Monitor and manage payroll, expense reimbursements, and other financial obligations.
  • Auditing and Internal Controls: Assist in auditing processes by providing accurate financial data and supporting documents. Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the preparation of company budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Provide analysis and insights to management regarding financial performance and areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience, preferably in a senior or accountant-level role.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accurate financial records and handle complex data analysis.
  • Knowledge of GAAP: Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and relevant financial regulations.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation is a plus.
  • QBO proadvisor.
