As a dental claims specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for managing and processing claims, resolving issues, and providing support to clients while upholding our commitment to quality and integrity.

  • Follow-up on outstanding insurance claims, ensuring all follow-ups are properly documented and communicated by adding notations to the patient's account.
  • Send out claims and attachments to insurance companies.
  • Determine denial validity and address them accordingly.
  • Generate OI reports and ensure monthly completion.
  • Resubmit and reprocess claims, including grievances and appeals.
  • Clear rejected claims on a weekly basis.
  • Update the office tracker with payments posted (checks and EFTs) and confirm all rejected claims have been addressed.
  • Complete assigned follow-ups on office spreadsheets.
  • Retrieve EOBs from insurance portals and post 100% of payments.
  • Post insurance payments following office preferences, upload EOBs, and apply adjustments correctly.
  • Identify insurance process updates/issues and communicate findings with the team.
  • Remain professional at all times, adhering to work ethics and schedule.
  • Meet desired goals and accomplish tasks efficiently.
  • Communicate with managers in case of attendance issues.
Requirements
  • Strong verbal and written English skills with minimal accent.
  • Background in dental insurance or collections industries.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on collections experience.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and follow-up skills.
  • Basic HMO coverage with one free dependent upon hire.
