Accounting Specialist Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position with a flexible work schedule, allowing for a great balance between work and personal life.

This role will provide a high-impact opportunity for an ambitious professional looking to make a significant contribution to the company's financial operations. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring timely payments and reconciliations, and providing exceptional support to internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable Management:
    • Set up new vendors, collect W-9 forms, reconcile vendor statements, and protect confidential information.
    • Review invoices, perform 3-way matching, ensure proper GL coding, enter invoices, resolve discrepancies, and apply credits.
    • Maintain payment schedules, track and manage billings and payments for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Accounts Receivable Management:
    • Apply payments to invoices, verify deductions and credits, and retrieve remittance advice.
    • Perform regular AR reconciliations, maintain AR records, resolve discrepancies, and reconcile online sales and bank deposits.
    • Review AR aging, monitor unapplied payments, and prepare customer statements as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Accounting and Bookkeeping
  • Tech-Savviness with Accounting Platforms and Excel/Google Sheets; NetSuite Experience is a Plus
