Purchasing Coordinator Job Description:
The Jollibee Group of Companies is hiring a Purchasing Coordinator to support our procurement efforts. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating proposals from suppliers, recommending vendors, and maintaining records to ensure purchase at the right quantity, quality, and price.
Main Responsibilities:
- Contact vendors/suppliers to establish specifications, scheduling, and negotiate pricing.
- Evaluate vendors by considering service level as well as best pricing.
- Initiate and assist in the study, testing, and launching of new or improved products or projects.
- Continually source new and better alternative supply sources.
- Initiate material improvement and development based on technological advancement.
- Maintain current stock level of regular items at all times by keeping inventory levels within safety stock and target quantity levels.
- Ensure that product costs are maintained at their optimum level by negotiating for the fairest and most reasonable price of all purchased items.
- Assist and coordinate with other divisions/departments in establishing systems and procedures.
Requirements:
- Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, or Accounting.
- At least 1 year of experience in procurement; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Good command of the English language; can communicate well with other divisions and departments, contractors, and suppliers.
- Able to perform in-depth cost analysis and weigh advantages/disadvantages of given transactions.
- Able to make quick, objective, and logical decisions on matters relating to the quality, quantity, price, and timing of purchases in the best interest of the company.
- Willing to be assigned in Ortigas, Pasig (hybrid set-up).
