Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of purchases and trade files.
  • Assist the Purchasing Manager in preparing reports as requested by the Executive Board.
  • Record and maintain supplier database files, prices, and specs for both suppliers and customers.
  • Preserve and update electronic files such as import statistics, historical purchases, BOC, and BIR-related reports.
  • Prepare and circulate documents like Seafood Product Requisition (SPR), Purchase Orders (PO), Discharge Information Sheet (DIS), and Goods Deposit Slip (GDS).
  • Follow up on orders and shipping documents to ensure products are delivered on time.
  • Assist in preparing documentary requirements for government agencies like BFAR, BFAD, and BOC.
  • Update the calendar of arrivals for imported shipments and deliveries of local shipments.
  • Update SAP database for vendors and item master data.
  • Coordinate quality issues and secure corrective actions with suppliers.
  • Monitor and ensure prompt payments to suppliers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Detailed knowledge of purchasing and logistics principles.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferably with a specialization in supply chain management or logistics.
