This is a remote role for an experienced Tax Accountant with expertise in Australian taxation and accounting.

About the Role
  • Financial data review, ensuring accuracy of coding
  • Preparation of annual financial statements for various entity structures
  • Completion of annual tax returns within business timeframes
  • Support with bookkeeping duties and BAS lodgment (where required)
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Australian taxation and accounting experience essential
  • 6 years' experience with a public practice/accounting firm offering Australian taxation services necessary
  • Knowledge and experience in accounting for companies, partnerships, and trusts, including preparation of financial statements and annual tax returns
  • Strong working experience with Xero, XPM, and other various accounting systems
  • Xero Certified a requirement
  • Sound understanding of the Australian GST system, including BAS and IAS
  • Familiarity with Office 365, Karbon, and SuperMate desirable
  • Qualified Accountant/CPA highly desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have great attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to follow process/system
  • Must be proactive, highly organized, and self-motivated
  • Motivated to continue learning and progressing in their career
Work Environment and Expectations

Although this is a work-from-home position, it is crucial to note that this is a full-time role—not a freelance or flexible-hour arrangement. You will be expected to work a fixed shift and maintain a high level of professionalism and accountability, just as you would in an office environment.
