Senior Tax Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Specialist to join our team.

This role combines tax expertise with advisory services to deliver exceptional value to clients. As a Senior Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for managing client portfolios, ensuring tax compliance and timely deliverables.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Australian tax within an accounting firm, specializing in SMEs. You will also have a comprehensive understanding of Australian tax regulations and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client portfolios, ensuring tax compliance and timely deliverables.
  • Prepare year-end financial statements and tax returns for individuals and businesses.
  • Conduct tax research and provide strategic tax planning to optimize client outcomes.
  • Support virtual CFO services, including budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking.
  • Assist in internal system improvements to enhance efficiency within the tax team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Extensive 4-5 years of experience in Australian tax within an accounting firm, specializing in SMEs.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Australian tax regulations and guidelines.
  • Experience in management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software is required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential.
