Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Professional to join our team. As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive tax solutions to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Company and Trust Tax Returns by accurately calculating and lodging tax obligations in accordance with Australian taxation laws.
  • Manage Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) calculations to ensure compliance with ATO regulations.
  • Handle Capital Gains Tax (CGT) events with expertise, ensuring accurate calculation and reporting of capital gains and losses.
  • Ensure Division 7A loan compliance and structuring to prevent unintended consequences on client finances.
  • Mentor and collaborate with offshore bookkeeping teams to enhance their knowledge and skills in Australian taxation.
  • Support business activity statements (BAS) preparation and bookkeeping processes to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Australian accounting and taxation with a strong focus on technical expertise.
  • Proficient in Australian tax legislation and compliance, including Xero and XPM software proficiency.
  • Familiarity with Australian Tax Office (ATO) systems and deadlines is essential for timely completion of tasks.
  • Highly accurate with attention to detail, able to identify and rectify errors promptly.
  • Excellent communication skills for training junior or offshore staff and building effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, demonstrating self-motivation and discipline.
