Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Lines Insurance professional to join our team as an Insurance Specialist. In this role, you will serve as a key team member in the Commercial Lines Department, focusing on educating current clients and attracting new ones.

Main Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for providing proposals for agency producers, quoting policies with top-rated carriers in the industry, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of products and markets.
  • Additionally, you will cross-sell and expand existing accounts to focus on client retention and sales growth, service existing clients through renewals, remarketing accounts, processing claims, and making policy changes.
  • You will also quote and issue new policies, including COI, EOP, and homeowners insurance documentation.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Commercial Lines Insurance, preferably with a strong understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance policies, coverages, and products.
  • Familiarity with the operations of an Independent Insurance Agency and quoting policies with major carriers is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, including spoken and written English, are required to handle customer inquiries and policy changes effectively.
  • You must be able to manage Certificates of Insurance (COI), Evidence of Property Insurance (EOP), and Homeowners Insurance documentation.
  • Proficiency in office software and agency management systems, such as Partners XE, is necessary.

  • Able to recognize opportunities for cross-selling or upselling policies.
  • Persuasive communication skills to offer additional products where appropriate.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex insurance issues.
