Job Title: Dental Treatment Coordinator

About This Role

This is a pivotal position within our organization, ensuring seamless patient care and coordination. As a Virtual Treatment Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing treatment plans, providing administrative support, and serving as the main point of contact for patients.

Responsibilities
  1. Schedule and coordinate treatment appointments and follow-up visits, optimizing office resources
  2. Communicate treatment details to patients, addressing questions or concerns
Treatment Coordination Skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and dental professionals
Patient Communication
  • Main point of contact for patients regarding treatment plans and procedures
  • Provide pre-treatment and post-treatment instructions, ensuring patients understand guidelines
  • Address patient inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
Appointment Management
  • Manage and update patient appointment schedules for timely and efficient treatment progression
  • Confirm appointments and assist with rescheduling or cancellations as needed
  • Coordinate with dental professionals for smooth workflow and availability
Electronic Records Management
  • Maintain and update electronic patient records, treatment plans, and administrative documents using dental practice management software or EHR systems
  • Ensure compliance with patient privacy regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
Insurance and Financial Coordination
  • Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and pre-authorizations for treatments
  • Assist patients with understanding their financial obligations
  • Work with billing departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of insurance claims and patient payments
Qualifications
  • Graduate of any Healthcare Allied Course; Dentistry graduate preferred
  • At least 1 year experience in dental or healthcare setting
  • Knowledge and understanding of dental procedures and ability to educate patients
  • Familiarity with dental practice management software and EHR systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, research and organizational skills
  • Typing speed of >45 words per minute preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, working with dual screens, and general computer literacy
