Job Description:

This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless IT system functioning across multiple venues, particularly during trading hours. The successful candidate will work remotely to provide timely support for various IT systems and platforms, with occasional on-site visits as needed.

The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing real-time assistance to restaurant teams during business hours, including evenings and weekends. This includes using remote tools (e.g., TeamViewer) to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

Maintenance of POS menus, item settings, modifiers, reservation systems, and online platforms (Google Business Profile, Facebook) is also a key responsibility. Additionally, the IT Support Specialist will diagnose and resolve issues related to POS errors, printer malfunctions, delivery platform connectivity (Uber Eats, Menulog, DoorDash), and online reservation systems (Quandoo, SevenRooms).

Effective communication with external vendors and platform support teams is essential for this role. Documenting support cases and maintaining an internal knowledge base of common issues and solutions are also crucial tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Basic networking knowledge (router/modem setup, IP configuration, DHCP/static IPs)
  • Experience with hospitality technology platforms, including POS and online booking systems
  • Proficiency with remote support tools such as TeamViewer
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support non-technical users patiently and clearly
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks independently
