Job Summary

The Operations Manager role leads and oversees service delivery for accounting services. This position involves managing day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), driving process improvements, leading teams, and delivering exceptional client satisfaction across accounting functions.

This senior leadership position is responsible for creating and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team performance and drive SLA targets. It also involves ensuring transparency with clients regarding projects and team updates, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement, and encouraging innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance Management: Develop and monitor KPIs to measure team performance and drive SLA targets.
  • Client Communication: Ensure transparent communication with clients regarding projects and team updates.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and encourage innovative solutions.
  • Team Management: Manage Team Leads' performance, provide coaching and guidance, and motivate team members.
  • Compliance: Adhere to quality and information security policies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting. An MBA or professional certifications such as CA, CPA, CMA are preferred. You should have at least 8 years of experience in a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) or shared services environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial or service delivery leadership role.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in managing accounting operations such as General Ledger (GL) reconciliations and month-end/year-end processes.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent people management, stakeholder communication, and client relationship skills.
