Senior Web Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Web Engineer to drive best practices across our engineering team. This role involves identifying areas for improvement, implementing well-tested and documented software, and leading in our engineering process through code and architectural reviews.

To succeed in this role, you should have strong technical skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, and experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred). You should also be able to travel twice a year for company events and have excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify what matters for the team and drive initiatives to improve them
  • Design and implement well-tested and documented software
  • Debug and fix issues encountered by your users
  • Lead in our engineering process through code and architectural reviews
  • Contribute to technical documentation to make it the best of its kind
  • Seek improvements to engineering and operations practices
  • Deploy and operate services developed by the team

As a Senior Software Engineer at our company, you will own the development of large projects. Encourages rigorous and efficient engineering process. Writes specifications and understands risks. Requirements
  • Technical Requirements:
  • Curate technical quality standards by designing the architectural approach to support business objectives
  • Experience with container tech such as LXD, Docker and Kubernetes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
  • Strong written and spoken English
