Academic Support Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Academic Support Specialist to perform various administrative and logistical tasks efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will contribute to the team's success by providing stakeholders with premium services in preparation for college admissions.

The ideal candidate is familiar with education and has exceptional written and verbal communication skills. They should be able to produce quality research and present information in a comprehensive format.

You will handle individual student cases and all college admissions-related tasks and requests made by clients. You will also receive thorough training, resources, and regular feedback to help you grow both personally and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Communication: As the primary point of contact for clients, you will ensure correct, timely, and effective delivery of all company communications.
  • Research: You will conduct high-level research under the Consultant's directives and guidance to support client needs. Your responsibilities include analyzing and recommending schools that best match the client's interests and extracurricular strengths.
  • Data Management: You will collect, organize, update, and maintain comprehensive client information to facilitate personalized services.
  • Administration and Logistics: You will coordinate and oversee daily office activities, including handling client communications, directing inquiries, and providing administrative support.
  • Business Development: During the off-season, you may work on projects that contribute to the growth of the team and company overall.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Creative Writing, or other related fields.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective engagement with consultants, clients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying challenges and developing strategic solutions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in utilizing productivity software, including Google Docs, Google Sheets, and collaborative platforms.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple demands, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience engaging and dealing with diverse children, teenagers, young adults, and their families in educational or community settings.
  • Experience working successfully within multidisciplinary teams, leveraging diverse skills, abilities, and knowledge to achieve shared objectives.
