Facilities Manager Job Description

The Facilities Manager plays a vital role in maintaining the mall's facilities and amenities to ensure an exceptional customer experience. This involves overseeing various activities such as janitorial, landscaping, minor repairs, and pest control.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and implement facility maintenance strategies to optimize resource utilization and minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate regular inspections of mall facilities and utilities, manage repairs, monitor consumption, and ensure timely reporting and billing.
  • Act as Safety Officer, manage incident response, coordinate with relevant departments, and ensure full compliance with safety procedures and documentation standards.
  • Support tenant construction and renovation processes, review plans, inspect sites, and help resolve compliance issues.
  • Serve as backup for key custodian and warehouse personnel for emergency item handling.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Environmental Engineering, Architecture, Building Maintenance Technology, or any business-related course is preferred.
  • Licensed Engineer is an advantage.
  • At least two (2) years of work experience in building/property administration or a related field is required.
  • Must have working knowledge in building/property administration, facilities management, housekeeping services, and engineering maintenance services.
  • Able to adapt to a flexible working schedule.
  • Will be assigned in SM San Fernando Downtown.
