Job Overview:

This role involves addressing patient inquiries and concerns, understanding patient needs by listening and interviewing, and coordinating information among patients, family members, medical personnel, and administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to incoming calls according to established procedures and departmental standards.
  • Assist patients in their queries and concerns.
  • Gather patients' outstanding balances.
  • Provide assistance to third-party entities with questions regarding patients' accounts.
  • Make outbound collection calls according to procedure and departmental standards.
  • Support patients in their billing inquiries and concerns.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively as a team player to support department and company goals and policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A college graduate or at least 2 years of college studies, preferably in a field related to medicine.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Basic mathematical calculations skills.
  • Detailed-oriented and organized.
  • Familiarity with email usage.
  • A motivated self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Dependable and reliable.
