Product Development Specialist Role

As a Product Development Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of products, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and analyzing financial data to ensure profitable partnerships.

You will work closely with our Product Development team to source new suppliers, manage timelines, and meet deadlines. This role requires strong organizational skills and agility to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new suppliers, including direct communication, sample sourcing, pricing negotiation, and timeline management.
  • Conduct financial analyses for new & ongoing products, using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets to ensure profitable outcomes.
  • Work closely with the product development team to understand product requirements and ensure activities align with product development timelines and budgets.
  • Identify and source new suppliers to meet business needs, researching and evaluating potential suppliers for new or existing projects.
  • Manage timelines and meet deadlines to ensure timely delivery of all new products launched per season.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Ensure all internal documents are up-to-date at all times for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide clear and timely communication with all internal stakeholders for updates, decisions, and deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in Product Development, preferably in Beauty, Hair Goods, or Hair Accessories. They should possess strong analytical skills, with experience in Financial Analysis and Data Analysis using Excel or Google Sheets.

Additional requirements include excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with Suppliers and Internal Stakeholders. Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and proactive thinking are also essential.
