About the role

DESCORP INC. is seeking a talented and experienced New Product Development Manager to join our team in Makati City, Metro Manila. As the New Product Development Manager, you will play a vital role in driving the company's growth and innovation strategy. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for leading the development and launch of new products that align with our overarching business objectives.

What you'll be doing

  1. Market Research and Analysis

  2. Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.

  3. Analyze data to assess market opportunities, customer preferences, and potential demand for new products.

  4. Idea Generation and Concept Development:

  5. Generate ideas for new products or product enhancements based on market insights and company goals.

  6. Develop product concepts and define features, functionalities, and target audience.

  7. Cross-functional Collaboration:

  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Brand and Sales throughout the product development lifecycle.

  9. Work closely with Brand, Sales, and Finance to ensure product feasibility and alignment with market requirements.

  10. Product Planning and Roadmapping:

  11. Develop product roadmaps outlining key milestones, timelines, and resource requirements for product development and launch.

  12. Prototyping and Testing:

  13. Oversee the development of prototypes and conduct product testing to evaluate performance, usability, and customer satisfaction.

  14. Iterate on product designs based on feedback from testing and making necessary refinements.

  15. Regulatory Compliance:

  16. Work with Regulatory Pharmacy to obtain necessary approvals and certifications for product launch.

  17. Continuous Improvement:

  18. Conduct post-launch reviews and gather customer feedback to identify areas for product improvement or future iterations.

  19. Stay updated on industry trends, customer preferences, and technological advancements to inform future product development initiatives.
  20. Other responsibilities related to the job as seen fit.

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in new product development, preferably in the beauty or skincare manufacturing industries
  2. Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and best practices in new product development
  3. Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
  4. Proficient in market research, data analysis, and financial modelling to justify product investments
  5. Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box
  6. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively collaborate with various teams
