Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Contracts Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and preparing contracts, verifying terms, and ensuring compliance.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Management: Prepare, review, and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts.
  • Verification: Verify contract terms, scope coverage, and inclusions/exclusions to ensure compliance.
  • Project Support: Double-check material quantities and scope coverage against project requirements.
  • Documentation: Use Bluebeam to review drawings, markups, and perform takeoffs as required.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Identify discrepancies or gaps in contractor submissions and recommend solutions.
  • Evaluation: Review and compare contractor quotes and scopes to ensure accurate evaluation.
  • Recommendations: Prepare recommendations for contractor selection based on price, scope, and compliance.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in contract administration or project support within the construction industry.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Bluebeam for drawing review, takeoffs, and documentation. ApprovalMax experience valued.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of contract terms, scopes, and construction documentation.
  • Communication: Ability to review and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Analytical Skills: High attention to detail with excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with construction management software.
  • Personal Qualities: Organised, process-driven, and detail-oriented.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment and meet deadlines.
