Government Contract Specialist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Government Contract Specialist to lead our team in securing and managing government contracts. This role requires expertise in government procurement processes, strong analytical and strategic skills, and the ability to identify opportunities for growth.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of government contracting platforms, such as SAM.gov, and be able to navigate complex regulations and requirements. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential for building relationships with government agencies and contracting officers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze government solicitations (RFPs, RFQs, ITBs) to identify opportunities aligned with company offerings.
  • Prepare, review, and submit competitive bids and proposals, ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
  • Conduct cost estimation, pricing analysis, and risk assessment to develop effective bidding strategies.
  • Liaise with internal teams to gather input and create accurate and compelling proposals.
  • Track bid status, conduct post-bid evaluations, and implement lessons learned to improve future outcomes.
Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in bidding for U.S. government contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and government procurement processes.
  • Expertise in preparing and submitting compliant bids.
  • Proficiency in bid management software and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working with federal agencies or government contract platforms.
  • Certifications such as Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM).
  • Demonstrated success in securing large-scale government contracts.
