Supply Chain Consultant Job Description

As a seasoned supply chain professional, we are seeking an experienced consultant to implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations ERP solutions.

  • Support the sales team in responding to requests for proposals (RFPs) by focusing on functional requirements and questions.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to lead discovery sessions, identifying potential solutions for customer challenges.
  • Develop business scenarios aligned with customer needs based on information gathered during discovery sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Configure D365 for various supply chain modules, including order management, item management, inventory, master planning, warehousing, procurement, vendor management, and manufacturing.
  2. Provide solution demonstrations and presentations using PowerPoint and live system walkthroughs.
  3. Document proposed solution overviews, incorporating possible integrations based on RFPs and discovery session insights.
  4. Write design documents for customizations and reports for D365, capturing boundary conditions and comprehensive test scenarios.
  5. Review design documents, data mapping, and integration mapping created by team members.
  6. Lead conference room pilot (CRP) and training sessions for D365 and associated systems to clients and team members.
  7. Conduct annual training sessions at our university.
  8. Write 2-3 D365 SCM functional blog articles per year for our company blog.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 5+ years of experience in implementing Dynamics 365 Finance Operations and Dynamics AX2012R3
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, inventory, and master planning
  • Conversational skills in English
