Transportation Analyst

About the Role

This is a pivotal position that demands meticulous analysis, astute policy reviews, and skilled communication. The ideal candidate will be adept at financial and operational data analysis, with expertise in life-cycle cost analysis, readiness cost comparisons, and maintenance cost evaluations using FMIS Fleet Focus.

They must also possess exceptional analytical skills to review reports on fuel consumption, vehicle utilization, and other key transportation metrics. Additionally, they should have excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings and recommendations effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis: Perform life-cycle cost analysis, readiness cost comparisons, and maintenance cost evaluations using data from FMIS Fleet Focus.
  • Policymaking: Conduct reviews and propose updates to policies, orders, and directives that govern transportation programs.
  • Reporting: Provide well-documented written reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
  • Program Support & Task Management: Utilize ETMS2 and AMHS for internal task tracking and communication.
  • Audit Support: Record findings and post-audit analysis as part of Audit, Assistance, and Training Programs.
  • Meeting Coordination: Provide full-cycle support for events including planning, coordination, and after-action reporting for government and inter-agency transportation-related gatherings.
Qualifications
  • Required Skills: Financial and Operational Data Analysis; Life-cycle cost analysis; readiness cost comparisons; maintenance cost evaluations using FMIS Fleet Focus; analyses of fuel consumption and vehicle utilization.
  • Policymaking Ability: Ability to review and update policies, orders, and directives.
Benefits

$75,000 - $85,000 per year

The salary range listed is based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for this specific role and geographic location. This position is also eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
