Job Title: Financial Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Specialist with expertise in Australian taxation who can provide exceptional support to our clients.

  • Preparation of company and trust tax returns
  • Calculation of Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) and Capital Gains Tax (CGT)
  • Compliance with Division 7A loan requirements and structuring
  • Support for offshore bookkeeping teams and preparation of business activity statements (BAS)

This role requires strong technical skills in tax legislation and compliance, as well as proficiency in Xero and XPM. Familiarity with the Australian Tax Office (ATO) systems and deadlines is essential.

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in Australian accounting and taxation
  • Expertise in Australian tax legislation and compliance
  • Familiarity with ATO systems and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Xero and XPM
  • Highly accurate and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
  • Motivated to grow with the business and take on additional responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and lodge tax returns for companies and trusts
  2. Calculate FBT and CGT amounts
  3. Ensure compliance with Division 7A loan requirements
  4. Support offshore bookkeeping teams and prepare BAS
  5. Provide expert advice on tax legislation and compliance
