Job Description

We are seeking a Medical Reviewer to join our team.

  • The Medical Reviewer will be responsible for reviewing and preparing case files, including Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs), assigned in the client portal.
  • They will review and bookmark medical records, creating a synopsis to answer medical opinion questions based on the veteran's medical history.
  • During scheduled appointments, they will remotely assist the medical provider by accessing, navigating, and preparing different apps in the computer prior to the appointment, remotely interviewing the veteran via video or telephone conference platform, transcribing the medical history based on the veteran's answers to the DBQ questions, documenting all physical examination findings in the appropriate section of the DBQs, and completing all sections of the DBQ spreadsheets after each appointment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have an active PHRN license.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential to effectively assist veterans, medical providers, and colleagues.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is necessary.
  • Flexibility in work schedule changes is also required.
  • The successful candidate must be accountable for all assigned cases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is a plus.
