Medical File Reviewer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical File Reviewer to assist in reviewing medical records and creating synopses to answer complex medical opinion questions. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently with minimal supervision, and have proficiency in MS Office applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare case files and Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) assigned through the client portal.
  • Review and bookmark medical records, creating a comprehensive synopsis to answer medical opinion questions based on the veteran's medical history.
  • Remotely assist medical providers during scheduled appointments, accessing, navigating, and preparing different apps on their computer, remotely interviewing veterans, transcribing medical history, and documenting physical examination findings.
  • Complete all sections of DBQ spreadsheets after each appointment, meeting with medical providers to discuss cases, and transferring data to the client portal.
  • Answer queries and addendum reports from clients, coordinating with medical providers and team members regarding scheduled appointments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN), active PHRN license.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively assist veterans, medical providers, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility in work schedule changes as needed.
  • Accountability for all assigned cases.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Work-from-Home Setup:
  • Fiber connection with at least 20 Mbps download and upload speeds.
  • Backup internet with minimum 15 Mbps download and upload speeds.
  • Main desktop/laptop: Intel i5–i7, 8 GB RAM; 4th generation or newer.
