Medical File Reviewer/PHRN Job Opportunity

To be successful in this role, you will need to prepare case files and Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQ) assigned through a secure client portal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review medical records, create a synopsis to answer medical opinion questions based on the veteran's medical history.
  • Remotely assist medical providers during scheduled appointments by accessing, navigating, and preparing different apps on their computer.
  • Conduct remote interviews with veterans via video or telephone conference platform, transcribing medical history and documenting physical examination findings.
  • Complete all sections of DBQ spreadsheets after each appointment and transfer data to the client portal.
  • Meet with medical providers to discuss assigned cases, determining final diagnoses and approving medical opinions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and active PHRN license.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with veterans, medical providers, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility in adjusting work schedules as needed.
  • Accountability for all assigned cases.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Support Lead/Trainer in process improvement and creating templates when necessary.
Work Setup:
  • High-speed internet connection with at least 20 Mbps download/upload speeds.
  • Backup internet with minimum 15 Mbps download/upload speeds.
  • Intel i5-i7 processor, 8 GB RAM, and 4th generation or newer desktop/laptop.
