This is a leadership role where the Operations Supervisor will oversee and support a team of insurance verification specialists. The role requires strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for providing training, coaching, and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and performance. They will also foster a collaborative and positive work environment conducive to achieving team goals.
Key responsibilities include supervising and participating in the verification of patient insurance coverage, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The Operations Supervisor will also assist in coordinating the authorization process for medical procedures and services requiring pre-authorization.
They will communicate with insurance companies to obtain authorizations and resolve authorization-related issues. Additionally, they will monitor authorization status and escalate issues as necessary to ensure timely approvals.
The Operations Supervisor will collaborate with billing and coding teams to address insurance-related claim rejections and denials. They will also assist in investigating and resolving discrepancies in insurance coverage and billing information.
Effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. The Operations Supervisor must be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks/projects, work autonomously, and meet deadlines.
Requirements- At least 1 year of tenure in current role
- Knowledge in Healthcare Operations or Revenue Cycle Components required
- At least 2 years of college coursework or experience
- Leadership experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
