Job Overview

This role involves fostering relationships with local churches, promoting awareness about children's needs, and ensuring the church is equipped to provide support. The Community Partnership Manager will work closely with pastors and church staff to identify capacity development needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of community development principles and experience in partnership management. A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, or related fields is required, along with at least 5 years of experience in community development or a related field.

A key aspect of this role is to build trust and mutual respect with the local church, ensuring that Compassion's resources are utilized effectively to benefit the most vulnerable children.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Promote awareness about children's needs among local church communities.
  • Collaborate with church staff to identify capacity development needs and create strategies to address them.
  • Foster relationships built on trust, respect, and service.
  • Support church-led initiatives to engage parents, caregivers, children, and youth.

The Community Partnership Manager will also be responsible for reporting concerns of abuse or neglect and working closely with Compassion's Child Protection team to ensure that all necessary actions are taken.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in community development or partnership management.
  • Strong understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Travel Requirements:

This role may involve up to 50% travel. Equivalent education, training, or certification may substitute for experience and education.
