Short-Term Rental Property Accountant

The ideal candidate will be responsible for full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage daily accounting operations for multiple short-term rental properties.
- Reconcile bank accounts, merchant accounts, and booking platform payouts.
- Track income, occupancy taxes, fees, and commissions from various rental platforms.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and cash flow reports.
- Coordinate with property managers or hosts regarding budget adherence and expense tracking.
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Maintain accurate records for audits and tax filings.
- Assist with forecasting and financial planning specific to seasonal rental cycles.
- Accounting experience in the hospitality industry, preferably with at least 1 year of experience.
- Proficient in accounting software and Excel; experience with short-term rental tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties/accounts.
