Job Overview

The L3 system engineer will troubleshoot complex Windows OS and networking issues, collaborate with vendors for third-party software support when needed, manage network infrastructure, and maintain server and workstation systems.

This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service to clients while supporting and mentoring team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, deploy, and manage all aspects of small to mid-sized business computer networks, software systems, and infrastructure.
  • Advanced and escalated troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows servers, workstation operating systems, and network issues.
  • Facilitate vendor support for third-party software to solve escalated issues.
  • Plan and deploy server, network, and workstation installations, upgrades, and network refreshes.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience in an MSP environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of full workstation support with troubleshooting Windows OS (Windows 8.1 to 11).
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in systems administration or a related field.
  • Network experience including firewalls.
  • Experience with smart switches, access points, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and routers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Server 2008+ and server OS management, administration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with Hyper-V and VMware hypervisors.
  • Knowledge of multiple network operating systems, protocols, security best practices, and implementation techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly grasp abstract concepts and apply them in troubleshooting without step-by-step instructions.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
