Cloud Infrastructure Scaling Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Scaling Engineer to design, build, and manage our cloud-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud engineering, with expertise in scaling and optimizing cloud environments.

This role will focus on building and maintaining the cloud infrastructure that powers our products and services, ensuring seamless deployments through CI/CD pipelines. You will own infrastructure design, automation, and implementation, enabling fast and reliable deployment of applications in a cloud-native environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design scalable environments on AWS/Azure, implementing automation with Infrastructure as Code, and ensuring seamless deployments through CI/CD.
  • Partner with developers and SREs to deliver containerized applications in production, reduce manual work through automation, and improve system performance and resilience.
  • Drive continuous improvement in a cloud-native environment and solve infrastructure challenges at scale.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or SRE roles.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong expertise in AWS or Azure (infrastructure design, scaling, cost optimization).
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK, Terraform, or similar).
  • Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proven ability to design and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).
  • Scripting skills (Python, Bash, or TypeScript) for automation.
  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, SigNoz) is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communicator with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Problem-solver with a passion for automation and efficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience with incident management and on-call rotations.

Above and Beyond:

  • Startup experience, comfortable with ambiguity and building from scratch.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems or advanced networking.
  • Certifications in cloud technologies (AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Solutions Expert).
  • Contributions to open-source DevOps/infra projects.
