Job Overview

This is a senior-level, contract position that involves direct and remote work. The role requires full-time commitment during normal business hours, with some flexibility for after-hours maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Member of the Infrastructure Engineering, Operations, and Planning group, reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure.
  • Responsible for designing, building, operating, managing, and improving large VoIP, IP, CPaaS, and UCaaS platforms and their underlying infrastructure.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A quiet and secure workspace with at least two good quality internet connections to complete tasks and responsibilities.
  • Three or more years of senior-level Linux Systems Administration experience across multiple core Linux distributions.
  • Advanced complex shell scripting abilities for automation purposes.
  • Experience with BigCouch/CouchDB and MySQL databases, including tables, replications, backups, files, and content.
  • Three or more years of hands-on experience with VoIP SIP and RTP protocols and related software VoIP platforms (e.g., SBCs, proxies, WAFs, load balancers, feature servers, class 4 and 5 platforms).
  • Deep knowledge of SIP/RTP software/daemons/applications and their configuration.
  • Three or more years of hands-on experience engineering and operating voice telecommunications services based on Kazoo, FreeSWITCH, RabbitMQ, Kamailio, OpenSIPS, VoIPMonitor, etc.
  • Understanding and familiarity with the LAMP software stack and Docker containers.
  • Experience operating within KVM, Hyper-V, and VMware clustered bare-metal hypervisor platforms, as well as AWS and Rackspace cloud VMs.
  • Expertise in building, managing, configuring, and maintaining development, lab, pre-production, and production Linux servers.
  • Ability to develop and maintain compliance for ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA, and PCI standards and certification requirements.
